Wyoming Public Media’s (WPM) “Open Spaces” is a weekly one hour news and public affairs program about Wyoming and the West. The national award-winning program features the people, issues, and events in the news in the Cowboy State.
Recently my son, Kyle and I were invited into the studio by award-winning Education Reporter Tennessee Watston to talk about A Divided Mind. Watson was recently selected as a Nieman Fellow by the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard where her fieldwork will focus on an investigative project on juvenile justice in Wyoming.
Tennessee understands kids, young adults and the challenges they face. Her work as a journalist represents the best in an industry that is continually under attack. The world needs more journalists like Tennessee.
So, it was a huge honor to have her read A Divided Mind and then interview Kyle and me.
On a beautiful, sunny day, Kyle and I drove the open space between Cheyenne and Laramie to talk with Tennessee.
